Joanne completed her Bachelor of Science in 1990 followed by a Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) in 1993. Joanne divides her time working in both private practise (Ashburton and Mentone) and at Monash Children’s Hospital. Her love of running led her to work in Sports Medicine for many years and was the consulting Podiatrist for multiple soccer teams during those years. She has been employed by Monash Health for more than 20 years, working in the Diabetic, Rheumatology, and Orthopaedic teams. Her current role as a Paediatric Podiatrist at Monash Children’s Hospital, is with the Victorian Paediatric Orthopaedic Network and the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service. Joanne is currently conducting her research in Toe Walking and has recently published an article in Gait & Posture titled ‘Full length foot orthoses have an immediate treatment effect and modify gait of children with idiopathic toe walking’. Joanne’s interests include fashion, travelling, reading and spending time with her family.

Maria is a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for Podiatry. She completed her Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine in 2019 and her Master’s degree of Sports Medicine in 2024. She has gained extensive experience working in private clinics across Spain and Australia.
Sport has always played a significant part in Maria’s life. Maria enjoys playing and coaching European Handball and also running. She is loving living in Australia and enjoys travelling, exploring new places.
